So, today I wanna share with you about the pedagogical contents at Chiang Rai Municipality 5 that I have observed before. Actually, for the entire pedagogical contents have similarities with Indonesia pedagogical contents.

So, we start with the Teaching Methods, what is the teaching methods in Chiang Rai Municipality 5?
English teacher in the school has to teach in dual language there are English and Thailand Language, to make students able to understand English well, teachers should make an explanation on Thailand Language. Beside of it the teaching method which uses in the school is exploration, discussion, and project practice. It is just the same with Indonesia. As we know that both Thailand and Indonesia that English still become EFL (English Foreign Learning) which means They can’t speak yet understand the English well. Perhaps, in the favorite of International school, they have adopted the English as the language learning at the school.

Khroo Nee said that this school is not favorite school and also this school accepts all of the students with various characteristics and the background of the study. No wonder, it will many types of students. This school is lack of technology to support the learning, So, in this school still uses whiteboard or manual media. There is a flat computer that can be moved to the class to class but it is limited edition.

The next is Learning Materials and Innovation 

This school uses material based on Basic core curriculum, syllabus, and English book. For innovation, the teacher using materials from the internet and some local materials such as local knowledge to teach in the class. Khroo Nee said that she also takes the material from the book, internet or others authentic material.

Every teacher at Chiang Rai Municipality School 5 uses two books such as teacher’s guidebook and student’s workbook. The teacher can add other materials from the internet. Use learning media such as the picture. In additional can use extra worksheets or handouts. Here is still lack of technology, which means There is no projector or computer to support this

The Authentic Assessment

The foundation of authentic assessment revolves around evaluating a students’ ability to apply what they have learned in mathematics to a “real world” context. Authentic assessment English tests focus on a students’ analytical skills and the ability to integrate what they have learned along with creativity with written and oral skills. Six ways to use authentic assessment math in the classroom based on my observation are performance assessment, short investigations, open-response questions, self-assessment, multiple-choice questions, and portfolios.
